Client Spotlight: DC Jazz Festival
There is no shortage of dynamic clients Sage Communications has the pleasure of working with, all with a variety of missions and values. This week, we would like to highlight a client that brings the joy of music across Washington, D.C.: DC Jazz Festival (DCJF).
DCJF has introduced students and adults from all walks of life to jazz since its genesis in 2005. Throughout the year, the DCJF nourishes the community with free music educational programs that extend our reach into underserved communities and enhance the quality of life for DC public and charter school students.
Now through June 17, DCJF is hosting its annual DC JazzFest, presented by Events DC. This event, with more than 125 performances in 40+ venues featuring more than 300 artists, is comprised of globally recognized GRAMMY-Award winning artists and local icons alike in a jazz takeover of the District spanning ten days. The festival culminates to it’s capstone concert weekend at The Wharf’s hottest new concert venue, the Anthem, featuring Hamilton Star Leslie Odom Jr. alongside jazz and funk icon Maceo Parker and a new supergroup formed by Robert Glasper.
Leading up to the festival, Sage worked with DCJF to execute a dynamic advertising, social media, digital, and public relations campaign to generate awareness and sell tickets to show-stopping performances at the Anthem on June 16. Beyond creating ads featured in both digital and printed publications, audiences are able to see our work on WMATA trains and buses as well as on social media through sponsored posts.
