What are your duties in a typical day here at Sage?

I am an Account Executive on the PR side so my typical duties included monitoring for client coverage, pitching and follow up with reporters and outlets, writing bylines and award nominations and reading industry news.  Additionally, I am a part of the Snack Committee at Sage so I’m currently researching healthy, good snack options to stock our kitchen.

What is the most exciting thing you’re working on right now?

I actually just got added to three new teams so I’m really excited to expand my client portfolio and learn more about these clients and their goals. I’m just starting on ScienceLogic, Envistacom and Blacksky. It’s always exciting to start on a new account. Additionally, I’m working on a new survey release for Champlain College Online which will be a large project for this fall and has a ton of interesting insight into adults and their views on their career and economic stability.

Who inspires you?

My mom definitely inspires me. She’s the best at recognizing and enjoying the little moments in life.

Additionally, Emily Dickinson and Amelia Earhart. My mom told me that she choose my name after considering other famous Emilys and Amelias so they’ve always been a part of my growing up.

What quote do you live by?

“We don’t see things as they are, we see them as we are” - Anaïs Nin

Where is your favorite place to travel?

I love to travel and will go anywhere but I think my favorite places to travel would be Spain and California. I’ve been to both multiple times and they always feel like I’m going back home in a way.

What are three things still left on your bucket list?

1. Travel to Greece

2. Get a tattoo

3. Learn French

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned while at Sage?

Trust your colleagues! There’s a great, strong, smart community of people at Sage who are there to guide you and help you. Don’t be afraid to say no or ask for help. People will help and then you’ll be able to do the same for them another time. It’s great to know that everyone has each other’s backs and that we all want to do the best work we can. Workloads ebb and flow at agencies so it’s important to know how to balance and anticipate that and to recognize that you can succeed and shine while others and your clients do.
